Loughborough Schools Foundation is situated on an impressive tree lined campus on the edge of Loughborough and consists of Loughborough Grammar School (boys 10-18), Loughborough High School (girls 11-18), Loughborough Amherst School (girls and boys 4-18), Fairfield Prep School (girls and boys 3-11) and Loughborough Nursery (girls and boys 6 weeks to 4 years).
The schools enjoy a very high reputation for their academic, cultural and sporting achievements and for the quality of their pastoral care. Each school offers an excellent learning environment, providing a broad and balanced education for around 2,100 students.
The four schools are governed by the same Charitable Foundation which manages the business aspects and support functions for all four schools.
All four schools share the facilities of the Music department, which offers a wide range of instrumental tuition as well as academic lessons. The Music department has a vibrant atmosphere and pupils are able to join ensembles and choirs, participate in concerts and enjoy the benefits of the Music department’s Steinway pianos.
Other facilities shared by all four schools are the swimming pool and a wide range of sports facilities.
In addition, we also offer the facilities of a Kindergarten (Term Time Only) at Fairfield for children aged 3+, which provides a safe, nurturing and happy atmosphere to the young children of both our employees and external customers.
We have a full-time Day Nursery (51 weeks of the year). Situated in a self-contained unit based within the grounds of Loughborough Amherst School it offers a calm and safe environment for children from 6 weeks to 4 years of age. This facility is available to both our employees and external customers. Check our vacancies page for recruitment of Nursery Assistants and other associated roles.
Employees are also able to use both the swimming pool and gym facilities at prescribed times. Other facilities are also available for employees to book for weddings, birthday parties and other celebrations by arrangement through the Commercial Office.
The Loughborough Schools Foundation has a wide range of jobs requiring a variety of skills from catering, maintenance, caretaking, IT, administrative, lunchtime supervisors, classroom assistants and teachers.
Some of the benefits offered by the Loughborough Schools Foundation include: employment with a well-established organisation, personal pension scheme or membership of The Teachers’ Pension Scheme (whichever is appropriate), access to an employee assistance programme, up to 25 days holiday for support staff (service linked) and private medical scheme for teaching staff and other senior roles.
